At the last general meeting for the Green Lanterns the announcement of a new role-play group, this blog post is to show there was more than just an announcement and a couple of cheers from the audience.
The group will be starting as soon as possible but a meeting is still to be held to determine details such as locations of RP and the people involved. There are positions for more than just players and we encourage everyone that is looking for some way to get involved to contact us. Warren and myself are at the helm of this project and would be happy to hear suggestions or ideas.
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is a six-part interlocking story, the first five parts feature different individual Green Lanterns. The final segment is about the Green Lantern Corps facing off against Krona, a rouge Guardian responsible for all entropy in the universe.
The movie functions as a sort of anthology of stories as told by different writers and directors for each story. A young Arisia joins the Corps just as Krona, is attempting to destroy Oa, home world of the Green Lantern Corps. Arisia is told several stories about some of the men and women she’ll be fighting with, as she prepares for battle. The stories are told from the trenches of battle as Krona’s moves ever closer to Oa.

The annual luau of the GLC was held in Mogo today and it was a pretty eventful night. Everyone expected the usual things from a beach filled party, booze, sand, things burning on a BBQ and of course girls in bikinis well this had all of that and a DJ so the luau was definitely on top form tonight!

I know a lot of people, myself included, have a hard time putting their plans into action. I believe a fundamental problem is we may have the knowledge, but lack the tools. By assembling a community tool box, we can plan, act and see our dreams come to fruition.
Let's start with the big question, "How can I make a change?"
Over $1,500 Dollars, that's what has been raised by the Green Lantern Core for Relay for Life so far this year. This works out to around 380,000L$ raised going towards helping fight cancer. This year has proven to be one of the most successful for the GLC with RFL, and hopefully we can keep it up moving forward. Let's keep our eyes on the prize.
